SUBSTRATE
September 4 to October 27, 2022
Collective exhibition, no-made
The villa "Le Roc Fleuri", Cap d'Ail.
For its twenty-second year of exhibition on the site of the Villa Le Roc Fleuri in Cap d'Ail, the artists of no-made and its guest artists (local, national and international) were asked to respond to the theme SUBSTRAT.
Through this word SUBSTRATE, it is the feeling of essence, of the basis of contemporary art but also its mutations, its developments that are sought. SUBSTRATE then becomes the fundamental support of the moving plastic act, perhaps the solid base of artistic proposals?
We will exhibit the plastic, sound and performance proposals of twenty-seven artists. These proposals will define a stroll between what we will call: the apparent, the reigns of the living, death and rebirth, stratum and trace and finally under the house.
The apparent is situated in SUBSTRAT as a welcome for the visitor which from the outset questions the vanity, roots and heritage of plastic action.
The kingdoms of the living will use the mineral, the vegetable or the animal as SUBSTRATE of the work in its development. Death and rebirth traps materials, destroys them, reconstructs them. Its transformations make the plastic productions of artists kinetic in "nothing is lost, nothing is created: everything is transformed" Antoine Laurent de Lavoisier.
Strate et trace is a narration of SUBSTRAT in its chronology and its desire for memory in the form of written traces, installations, mineral, pictorial or sound fragments, witnesses of the effects of time. Sous la maison ends the journey of this exhibition in enclosed spaces outside the garden, where videos and installations dialogue and respond to each other on the reasons for SUBSTRAT.

Luminescent Agora
Group Exhibition / Performance / Poetry / Jam Session / Evening
I open wide the doors of the house and the studio to welcome 18 artists with diverse practices, ready to breathe a new dimension into the place and to weave subtle links with your sensitivity. Visual artists, videographers, ceramists, performers, carpenters… each will bring their material, their gesture, their breath, to compose a dialogue of creative energies. Under the audacious scenography of Aimée Fleury, the exhibition invites you to an immersive journey, where the universes meet and respond to each other.
Artists need to live: everything, or almost everything, is for sale. Support their work by discovering their works.
At the same time as the darkness falls, the video installation space will become active around 6:30 p.m.
From this moment, the exhibition will transform into a festive agora. Performances, jam sessions and music will breathe new energy, making the words vibrate to the rhythm of the melodies, awakening and intertwining the senses in a unique experience.

All the plastic work is focused on wood, trees, and the forest. An observation of the wood structures and a reproduction of it allows us to think of the tree as a living and breathing being. The work of understanding the construction of wood aims to bring a new perspective on the trees that surround us.

Jumble
The Flowery Rock – Cap d'Ail
From September 4 to 27, 2023
For this 23rd and final edition of no-made at Roc Fleuri and in conclusion of this beautiful adventure I allowed myself to choose the theme. This evokes all the complexity, diversity, openness and stratification of no-made: Fatras A fatras is a fixed-form poem dating from the Middle Ages and having disappeared with the beginning of the Renaissance. This poem, related to fatrasie, cultivates the absurd and the impossible. Often gathered under the same banner, that of "nonsense" or "anti-lyricism", the various forms represented by fatrasie, fatras and resverie are far from having attracted all the attention they deserved1. A fatrasie is a poem in which meaning gives way to sound, notably using systems of syllable repetition. This accumulation of sentences with particular sounds sometimes hides criticisms or lampoons of the power in place. Everyone will be able to post a word, a verse, a poem in all its plastic forms, a surrealist ensemble, a jumble, a sacred b…

End of residency: exhibition from February 4 to June 18, 2023
This exhibition is the result of work carried out jointly by two artists during a creative residency at the International Centre for Contemporary Art in Carros.
Stéphanie Hamel-Grain works with drawing and materials through various unconventional actions; Isabelle Poilprez develops an original practice in the field of art glass.
After a series of active collaborations that began several years ago, they are now realizing an ambitious proposal designed especially for Carros. Sharing an on-site workshop allowed them to cross their practices, exchange and learn from each other.
In order to restore their unique artistic vision linked to the territory in its human dimension, they first went into contact with people, individuals from all walks of life, collecting traces of lives during workshop sessions that they define as "active artistic exchanges" and which provided part of the material for this work.

Would we dare to continue walking towards the great forest?
It is about placing ourselves at the edge, at the interstice. To make a place for an end.
It is a question of reporting on the symbioses as well as the violence between the worlds seen.
It involves sitting under an umbrella at night and throwing dice.
On one of the faces a symbol appears: Orées

Choreographic and theatrical moments as well as an electronic siesta punctuate the festival.
ENTRE|DEUX invites CROSSOVER SUMMER to a concert on Saturday at the olive grove of the Notre-Dame du Mont chapel with: Camion Bazar, Dimitri from Panisse and Mr Boom.
This collective and festive project brings a breath of fresh air to share.

DOUBLE GLAZING
October 19 to December 11, 2020
Group exhibition,
OpenSchool Gallery of Fine Arts of Nantes, Nantes.
For these exhibitions, we have decided to use a gallery display system called a "showcase". The works will only be visible from the outside through the gallery windows.
It seemed essential to us, due to the health conditions we are going through, to be able to continue the exhibition and dissemination of the work of students and graduates while putting in place new methods of appreciating the works exhibited.
Thus, sixteen artists will take turns to occupy the spaces during three chapters of exhibitions from October 19 to December 11, 2020.
The windows are occupied by artists who each in their own way reveal to us a sample of their thoughts and practices.
Double glazing is going outside but also inside. Two panes separated by a thickness of still air, a blade of air, like a space that breathes between two surfaces in dialogue. It protects from the outside while allowing one to see through. A pane is therefore an invitation to look, to look from the other side. Between transparency and porosity of the gaze, the works grant themselves a right to breathe, offering an opening onto their worlds.

IN VITRO IN VIVO
From September 11 to September 27, 2020
Group exhibition,
Exhibition-sale, no-made, Le Roc Fleuri, Cap d'Ail.
In vitro In vivo is an exhibition-sale with the aim of directly supporting artists. In vitro In vivo is a title and not a theme.
In an in vitro culture, the physical and biological factors and variables (temperature, light, humidity, sterile environment) are under control outside the natural environment as if encapsulated and isolated from any hazard.
But in vitro experiments are often a first step towards understanding the same phenomenon in vivo. Uncontrollable variables are reintroduced and the progression and evolution of the model is observed.
It is in this spirit of moving towards life without really controlling everything that randomness leads us towards a certain freedom.
And that is the whole point of this proposal which we hope was a moment of respite for no-made artists.

Student exhibition as part of the international screenings Dakar: Presences of the Future 2019, led by Emmanuelle Chérel, Mamadou Khouma Gueye, Cheikh Ndiaye
Dakar – subject to the mutations of the African continent and to global processes – is a city of flux. An international city made of syncretism and artistic plurality, but also cultural (several cultures, several religions), whose idiosyncratic aesthetics draw new faces. A palimpsest city as the thinker Felwine Sarr writes, and that is what we are confronted with and which sets us to work... A city in motion, which continues to create itself.
With Mona Barbagli, Maya Bostvironnois, Benjamin Coudol, Lucie Dhermain, Yolenn Farges, Ji-Yoon Jang, Quentin Jourdan, Zacharie Khelili, Clément Raveu, Jonathan Poulet, Anna Touré, Yao Tsai.
