SUBSTRATE
September 4 to October 27, 2022
Collective exhibition, no-made
The villa "Le Roc Fleuri", Cap d'Ail.
For its twenty-second year of exhibition on the site of the Villa Le Roc Fleuri in Cap d'Ail, the artists of no-made and its guest artists (local, national and international) were asked to respond to the theme SUBSTRAT.
Through this word SUBSTRATE, it is the feeling of essence, of the basis of contemporary art but also its mutations, its developments that are sought. SUBSTRATE then becomes the fundamental support of the moving plastic act, perhaps the solid base of artistic proposals?
We will exhibit the plastic, sound and performance proposals of twenty-seven artists. These proposals will define a stroll between what we will call: the apparent, the reigns of the living, death and rebirth, stratum and trace and finally under the house.
The apparent is situated in SUBSTRAT as a welcome for the visitor which from the outset questions the vanity, roots and heritage of plastic action.
The kingdoms of the living will use the mineral, the vegetable or the animal as SUBSTRATE of the work in its development. Death and rebirth traps materials, destroys them, reconstructs them. Its transformations make the plastic productions of artists kinetic in "nothing is lost, nothing is created: everything is transformed" Antoine Laurent de Lavoisier.
Strate et trace is a narration of SUBSTRAT in its chronology and its desire for memory in the form of written traces, installations, mineral, pictorial or sound fragments, witnesses of the effects of time. Sous la maison ends the journey of this exhibition in enclosed spaces outside the garden, where videos and installations dialogue and respond to each other on the reasons for SUBSTRAT.

Artistic workshop "impression"
In Bonson,
at the Amandiers nursery school 2023
This project is based on the FAPE Carros system. The Festival des Arts Pour les Écoles, in partnership with the CIAC, proposes the theme "Traces of the Self", in resonance with the exhibition "Bouteille à la mer" which brings together the artists Isabelle Poilprez and Stéphanie Hamel-Grain. In this exhibition, the artists work with the idea of the life story, of the imprint, of what is expressed about us through materials.
The "Impressions" project will revolve around the exhibition and the work of Mona Barbagli, a visual artist, whose works question the construction of the self through superpositions of colors, emotions and stories, plastically reflecting the fact that we are made of different layers that build us over time. The practice will be exploratory and will allow students to understand different techniques for leaving traces, documents generated by the application of prints. These experiments will allow students to make choices in a personal project that will suit them. Each will thus show a part of themselves, a trace of themselves.
The town hall, also involved in the project, will provide accommodation for the artist to allow the students to immerse themselves in this artistic project, concentrated over a week.

Analemmatic dials are dials where the body serves as a needle to indicate the time on a material by its shadow, from which we draw the importance of the body, and the link between the body and its shadow, as well as the interweaving of the two in an external space. Time is a positioning of the planet Earth in relation to that of the Sun as well as its own rotation, in addition to being the temporality of life. It is also the link between the temporal period and the environment that interests us. For Palam, the analemmatic dial is the opportunity to study the interactions between the human body and nature, as much in their surfaces (traces and contours) as in their interiors (shadows and singularities).
